Professional Bio

Colonel Tyler J. Oxley is a native of the Pacific Northwest. He was commissioned an Infantry Officer through Army ROTC upon graduation from Gonzaga University in 1996. His initial assignment was with the 1st Battalion, 26th Infantry, 1st Infantry Division in Schweinfurt, Germany. Following the Signal Officer Transition Course, he reported to his first of three assignments within the Fires community, the 1st Battalion, 7th Field Artillery at Ledward Barracks, Germany. During this time he deployed to Kosovo in support of Operation Joint Guardian.

In 2018, he was assigned to his first of two Army Air and Missile Defense Commands, the 32d AAMDC at FT Bliss, TX. As the commands G6, he deployed to Qatar in support Operation Spartan Shield. In May of 2021 he was selected to serve as the Deputy Commanding Officer of the 94th AAMDC, Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPH-H), HI. He transitioned to the command’s G6 in August of 2022. He will retire from the 94th in the Spring of 2026 having committed the final eight years of his career to Air and Missile Defense.

Colonel Oxley is a graduate of the Command and General Staff College and Joint Forces Staff College, Combined and Joint Warfighting Course. He holds a BA and MA from Gonzaga University. His awards and decorations include the Presidential Unit Citation, Army Superior Unit Citation, Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (w/Oak Leaf Cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (w/5 Oak Leaf Clusters) the Expert Infantryman Badge, Senior Space Badge and Parachutist Badge amongst others. He is married with two children.
