Professional Bio

Spencer D. Knight is a defense technology professional supporting the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Aviation and Missile Center (AvMC) through his role at Torch Technologies.

He plays a key role in DEVCOM AvMC’s partnership with Oklahoma State University on the Soldier Touch Point Center congressional add initiative. This OSU-led research effort focuses on equipping Soldiers with human factors sensors while they operate Fires weapon systems in complex scenarios. The goal is to analyze physiological and neurological stress indicators to inform the development of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms that enhance decision-making and reduce cognitive overload in future weapon systems.

Spencer retired from the Army in November 2022 after 22 years of active-duty service. His final assignment was as Course Manager for the Patriot Top Gun, Air Defense Artillery Fire Control Officer, and 140K Warrant Officer Advanced Courses. He also served as Chief of Instruction for the 140K Warrant Officer Education System.

Beyond his professional work, Spencer is a board member of The Patriot Bros.
