Richard W. Swain

Dr. Swain is a 2006 graduate of Capella University. He has a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education with a specialization in Instructional Design for Online Learning. Dr. Swain also has a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design for Online Learning from Capella University. His other academic credentials include a Masters in Educational Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a Masters in Military Science from the Army War College at Carlisle, Pennsylvania. For his undergraduate work, Dr. Swain earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management with a minor in Psychology from the University of Maryland. Dr. Swain is a life-long learner and has completed the requirements of the Defense Leadership and Management Program for the Department of Defense. Dr. Swain has thirty-nine years of experience in Federal Service. Dr. Swain has two children, five grandchildren and is married to the former Sharon O’Donoghue of Charlotte, NC. In the 1980’ s one of the first Officers assigned to the 1st of 43rd ADA Patriot Battalion which brought into Army Service.
