Philip Sutton

CPT Sutton was born in Great Falls, Montana. He initially joined the Army in June of 2019 and upon completion of Basic Officer Leader Course (BOLC) he PCS’d to Ansbach, Germany to be assigned to the 5th Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery Regiment (5-4 ADAR). He served in various positions while in garrison to include maintenance company Executive Officer, MANPADS Platoon Leader, and Assistant Tactical Air Defense Artillery Officer. On 24FEB2022, he deployed with the 2nd Cavalry Regiment (2CR) to Romania as the Short-Range Air Defense (SHORAD) ADA LNO and the most senior US Air Defender on MKAB in response to Russia’s inva. In 2023, upon completion of Captains Career Course (CCC), he was assigned to the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade (31st ADA BDE) and deployed as an assistant S3 and regional security cooperation (RSC) officer during the OCT2023-MAY2024 Top Notch mission. While deployed, he was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 2nd Air Defense Artillery Regiment and took command of Alpha Battery in Camp Buehring, Kuwait.
