Christopher Saager

Originally a base branch Aviator and UH-60 pilot, Christopher (C.J.) Saager has now spent more active-duty time supporting Air, Space & Missile Defense than Aviation. Following flight jobs that included a combat deployment to Afghanistan and operational deployments throughout the INDOPACOM region, in 2015 C.J. was assigned to the 94th AAMDC. At the 94th, he served as the Current Operations Officer within the G3 and focused on the THAAD in Guam effort. Branch transferring to the Acquisition Corps in 2016, C.J. worked at MDA as Assistant Product Manager for the THAAD Interceptor, THAAD Training Devices, and a rapid C-UAS response to defend THAAD. In 2020, C.J. began supporting SMDC through a Space Control program of record within PEO IEW&S' Tactical Space Superiority product office. From 2022 to present, C.J. has been assigned to the Army's RCCTO. His efforts began on the Long-Range Hypersonic Weapon (LRHW) but quickly grew to supporting all the RCCTO "Signature" programs to include LRHW, MRC, and Directed Energy portfolio. C.J. is currently the Product Manager of RCCTO's High Power Microwave (HPM) C-sUAS prototyping effort.
