Professional Bio
30 year retired Colonel. One of the first four female ADA Battalion Commanders and one of the first three female ADA Brigade Commanders. Attended the Army War College, Command and General Staff College, ADA basic and Advanced courses, Patriot Officers Course, Nike Hercules Officers Course, FMS, and Air Assault school. Holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with emphasis on sports medicine, and Masters degrees in Strategy (War College) and Organizational Management (UoPHX).
Built a business in El Paso from the ground up (The Pet Barracks) and sold when physical limitations limited management ability. It is still the best boarding kennel in the region. Happily married to Gary Stipe for the past 40 years. Three children and three grandchildren.
