Professional Bio

Nate Jones is Director of Fires Requirements, Capabilities and Solutions for Land Warfare & Air Defense for Raytheon Missiles & Defense, a business of Raytheon Technologies. He leads efforts to identify and capture new business opportunities, both in the U.S. and globally for air and missile defense systems, precision weapons, radars, command and control systems and advanced defense technologies.
Jones, a trusted and visionary leader, is a U.S. Army veteran with three decades of strategic leadership experience, was instrumental in capturing new multi-billion business for the Raytheon Technologies’ Lower Tier Air and Missile Defense Sensor. He was deeply involved in modernization and strategic captures prior to Raytheon Company’s merger with United Technologies Corporation in 2020 and continues with digital transformation and capability management for the company.
Jones is a 26-year veteran of the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery, advocates for bringing the most advanced and innovative technology to military customers. He combines his military expertise with strategic vision – a MIT Sloan School of Management Design Thinker, a U.S. Army War College Strategic Leader and Policy Analyst, and a MIT Management Executive Education Organizational Design for Digital Transformation certified leader.
He holds a master’s degree in International Relations and graduated from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College. Jones recently completed MIT’s Executive Management program for Organizational Design for Digital Transformation. He is servant leader, serving on several Boards, and is an inductee named on the U.S. Army Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Branch Warrant Officer Wall of Honor.
